The words “Luck Is The Residue Of Design” were first credited to English poet John Milton (1608-1674) . A phrase that sums up the end result of ones hard work. These words later became famous when uttered by a man named Wesley Branch Rickey, The general manager of the Brooklyn Dodgers in the 1940's and eventual Hall of fame inductee. We created this piece to symbolize the 1000's of hours and dedication one must invest to experience in some cases only moments of glory or as some call it "Luck".
